What to Register For?
I’ve never been inside a Babies ‘R Us before, but let me tell you, there’s A LOT of stuff. Amanda and I started the registering process online, but we were told it’s definitely worthwhile to get inside the store and check everything out. So we did.
If you’ve ever registered for a wedding before, this is very similar, the woman picks out everything. Honestly, it’s probably better that way anyway, because I don’t know anything about anything when it comes to baby stuff. I’m just excited to play with all the toys again.
Probably the coolest thing we saw was this crib. They make lifetime cribs which starts as a crib and keeps changing as the baby grows.
We’d be forever grateful if someone bought it for us *wink wink*.
Overall, registering went well, but since we’ve never been parents before we’re unsure of what we’ll actually NEED versus what’s the cool baby stuff. So, for all you parents, what’s something you just couldn’t live without? We’d love the advice.

Hey man, digging the blog site. Would definately recommend a convertable crib. Also teething rings, a playmat, changing table, bottle brushes, pacifiers, and burp cloths. Expect to spend every penny on them. Let me know if you guys got any questions. I know what you are going through. We need to hit a brewer game soon.
Hey man, thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely ask if any questions come up (and I’m sure they will). And yes, we are overdue for a Brewers game. Too bad they suck this year. Once the baby comes, we’ll have to get the families together for a game. I’m not sure if we’re having a boy or girl, but either way, he or she will be a Brewers fan
.
It is a hard question. Because I think for the most part there isn’t really anything you absolutely have to have except for food and diapers. And maybe pacifiers
That doesn’t keep me from buying EVERYTHING anyway. We really like having a swing for him. When hes upset sometimes it is the only thing that will calm him. Also blankets that are actually for swaddling (at least size 40X40) They can be hard to find. The receiving blankets are too small and usually not square. Oh and burp cloths because he spits up alot.
Neisha you rock! We’ll have to look for those blankets and see if we can pick up a few.
Love the crib! It looks nearly identical to Colin’s. As for what you need… a good carseat, sleepsacks, and baby proofing equipment. We also really dig the space saver high chair. The swing was awesome too, even though it took up quite a bit of space.
What couldn’t I live without if I had a baby? Hmmm let’s see…A rich husband and a maid.
